Cullens Quality Butchers are members of the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland (ACBI), which demands high standards from all its members.

Cullens have been in the butchery business in County Wicklow for 3 generations. William Cullen, Liam Cullen (pictured below left) and now Robert Cullen (pictured below right) are proud to serve you with the finest locally sourced Beef, Lamb, Pork, Bacon, Poultry and other fine produce.

Locally Sourced, Fully Traceable Meat

All meat in Cullens is locally sourced and is fully traceable. As Robert says 'Knowing where your meat comes from is much more important for customers nowadays, and the trust of the local Butcher is something customers value above all else.' Robert also acknowledges that it takes an extra effort to visit the local Butcher, but promises that a visit to his shop is worth it.

Regular customers are greeted with a friendly personal manner, they enjoy quality service and good nature banter. We prepare our meat to suit the needs of the customer and can advise on cooking methods and quantity needed when necessary. Cullens prides itself with happy satisfied customers.

From its famous Award Winning Spiced Beef, to its Aged Steaks, Great Cuts of Pork and Lamb to the Best in Poultry, all tastes are catered for in Cullens Quality Butchers. We source our meat from the best suppliers we can find. We also allow our meat to mature for 21 days allowing time for the flavours to develop. Taste is very important to us.

 

Supplying the Trade Industry

Cullens Quality Butchers also supply meat to the trade industry along with Restaurants and Hotels in the Wicklow area. We have built up a reputation on supplying the best quality meat in the area to some of the finest Cafes, Delis, B&Bs, Coffee Shops, Restaurants, Hotels, Golf Clubs, Local Convienence Stores and Private Caterers.

We are also proud to be prefered meat supplier and Butcher to World Famous Ballyknocken House Cookery School - Home to well known Chef and food writer Catherine Fulvio.


As mentioned we are famous for our Award Winning Spice Beef and Sausages which have been passed on 3 generations and still serve the test of time. Along with the traditional products you would expect from your butchers, Cullens Quality Butchers also supply Marinades, Sauces, Rubs, Spices, Eggs and Fresh Vegetables. We also stock great Local Cheeses, Breads and wonderful Cured Meats.
